In order to spread the fame of wines from Szekszárd on the German market, the Guild of Winemakers in Szekszárd signed an agreement with the German communication agency Xenos-comm (owner: Thomas Brandl).
In the first step of the campaign 12 hungarian wineries took part in a celebration dinner held in Bietigheim-Bissingen (location: 25 km north of Stuttgart), the sister city of Szekszárd.
In the next step they will hold two wine tastings for interested merchants and wine critics in the ProWein 2013 exhibition, to be organized between 24 and 26 March in Düsseldorf. The presentation of wines from Szekszárd will be sponsored by the Vinum Magazine. Needless to say, wines from various wineries will be available for tasting at stands in the exhibition hall.
This is the third in the line of events – the opening of the Garay cellar in the Inner City of Budapest and the announcement of a three-start hotel to be built by the Mészáros Wine House (Borház) – which indicate that Szekszárd has grown up to consolidate its position on the domestic and foreign market.
