Open Cellar Days in Advent – Hajós 2013

The Cellar Village at Hajós will present an Advent Program where wine lovers will have the opportunity to taste the latest wine selection.

40 winemakers opened their cellars to the visitors with offering wine tasting and wide range of locally made specialties, such as freshly baked honey cake, chimney cake, roasted chestnut and grilled sausage with matching wines will be offered; it will be hard to resist to the aromas lingering over the streets.

In addition, they will not forget about the young ones, fine food and other surprises will wait for them in the press-houses of the Cellar Association.

Overnight accommodation in several cozy cellar-guest houses will be available for people unwilling to drive home after the long day of wine tasting.

Members of the VINTEGRO Cellar Association – the organizer of the event – are all young winemakers, who are committed to make wine with using modern technology in traditional environment, based on the vast experience of the older generation. Wines will be presented with traditional ethnic German hospitality and gastronomy. Also, lots of information will be available about the culture of this historical wine region.

Maps, flags erected at the front of cellars and candles in the windows helped visitors to find their way in the labyrinth of 1200 cellars.

Tickets – HUF 2000 – will be available in the press-houses of the Association.

Wine tasting (20×50 ml) and one special wine glass are included in the price.
